The Ball Cerdà de la Seu d'Urgell is danced on the Sunday morning of Festa Major, in Plaça Patalín. In 2016 it was declared a festive heritage element of national interest by the Department of Culture of the Generalitat. The origins of the Cerdà Dance are uncertain. Oral sources indicate that it had been danced during the 19th century and that, during the 20th century, it had an uninterrupted continuity except for the period of the Civil War. In the 1980s, the children's Cerdà Dance began.
