Essential itineraries of La Seu d'Urgell
This route runs along the border between two well-differentiated parts of Urgellet: that at the bottom of the valley, and next to its two major rivers: the Segre and the Valira; and that of the mountains, which rise up around them, reaching heights of over 2,000 m. The itinerary begins on the plain and then climbs up the steep hillside, alongside the torrent de l’Olla stream, which runs down to the River Cerc. It finally reaches the top of a hill upon which visitors will find the emblematic hermitage of Sant Antoni, which looks out over Urgellet. Further on, the path descends to Alàs, via Bell-lloc, and then returns, once more, to the plain, following the River Segre downstream to La Seu d’Urgell.
