In 1993, volunteers from Centre d’Estudis of L’Alt Urgell cleaned the brambles from this church, which was then in danger of ruin. These events were accompanied by a totally accidental find: an exceptional group of paintings that present Christ in his Majesty surrounded by symbols representing the four evangelists. The paintings were hidden behind an architectural structure that had served as a presbytery, and which had hidden them for years. Fortunately, it had also protected them from looters and speculators obsessed with collecting Romanesque works, who were common in both the 19th and 20th centuries.
