This church is documented between 1312 and 1314, thanks to the visit of the Archbishop of Tarragona. It is known to have had close ties first with the monastery of Santa Cecília d’Elins, and later with the viscounty of Castellbò. It is a Romanesque building from the 11th century, with a single nave, covered by a barrel vault, and ending to the east with a stepped semicircular apse and a quarter-sphere vault. The west façade features a high, off-centered circular oculus, and is topped by a single-eye bell gable. Two additional elements include the sacristy attached to the north wall and a small chapel on the south wall.
